What is your favorite thing about working with small businesses and startups?
I enjoy working with small businesses because it provides great opportunities for learning diverse aspects of a business, it tends to foster a more personal and collaborative work environment, and contributions can have a more significant impact on the company’s success.
What are the highlights of your career so far (length in field, education, places worked, clients served, etc)?
I began my career in public accounting so I got to experience a range of industries, several sizes of companies, as well as work with many different teams. I eventually gravitated to the financial services industry and have enjoyed serving in various roles over the past decade.
Where did you grow up? How did you end up living where you live now?
I grew up in a small town in Iowa and knew I wanted to work at a public accounting firm and experience a large city. I moved to the St. Paul Minneapolis area after graduating from college and have lived here ever since.
What three words best describe you?
Responsible, disciplined and precise.
What do you like to do for fun outside of work?
Exercise and play sports, walk my dog, enjoy the outdoors and read.
Anything on your bucket list?
Travel more!
