What is your favorite thing about working with small businesses and startups?
I enjoy combining my background in customer service with my accounting and business management knowledge to support business owners. Every business operates differently, so I tailor my services to fit each owner’s needs. My goal is to take the burden of producing clean, GAAP-compliant financials off the owner’s shoulders so they can focus on growing and improving their business.
What are the highlights of your career so far (length in field, education, places worked, clients served, etc)?
Every client has been a highlight in my journey. From my earliest clients to my current ones, each role and responsibility has provided opportunities for growth and learning. I believe that finding something positive in every experience, whether in business or in life, is the key to continued growth.
Where did you grow up? How did you end up living where you live now?
I grew up in Rockville (or Silver Spring) MD, a diverse city about 20 min from DC. I moved to Pennsylvania a few years back and fell in love with the slower pace, fresh air, rolling green fields, clear skies and bright stars!

What do you like to do for fun outside of work?
As a mother, anything that my kids enjoy doing! Watching them play sports, learn new things, play, grow etc. Specifically we enjoy playing basketball, swimming, going to the beach and anything fun together!
As a person I enjoy shooting darts, once upon a time I shot in 2 dart leagues in the American Darter’s Association (ADA). I once also played HS and travel softball. I loved the game so much I organized a slow pitch team through my 20’s and early 30’s. It has been a few years since I have played regularly however; I am hoping to play some this Spring in a local league.
I also enjoy hosting friends to come hang. I live in PA about an hour from where I grew up so not too far from friends!
I have been known to host a charitable fundraiser here and there. I hope to host another one in the next year. In the past I have raised funds for The American Foundation for suicide prevention. The Juvenile Diabetes Research foundation as well as fundraising for Breast Cancer.
Anything on your bucket list?
I have a slight fear of cruises. I have some good friends that love cruises and taking their kids along. I have not been able to overcome that fear and I think I would like to take my boys to experience a cruise.
Taking my kids to Disney and Universal to experience all of the theme park fun! We are huge Jurassic Park fans, so the JW rides and pics with “Blue” are for sure on the bucket list!

I love this saying because I genuinely believe it is true! If you think about it, a simple smile, nice gesture, hug etc. a small act of kindness can be infectious in the best way! Love begets Love!
