How did you decide you wanted to work in accounting/finance?
A friend gave me the opportunity to work for her and she taught me very well and I continued to work in this field for over 18 years because I enjoyed it.
What are the highlights of your career so far (length in field, education, places worked, clients served, etc)?
The last 14 years I had the pleasure to work with a great group of people and we were like a big family. They were very helpful in educating me, I was able to stay with them for 14 years.
Any specific Industries you specialize in or enjoy serving?
I worked heavily in Land development and construction. It is very detail oriented and I liked that.
Are there any technology/tools you have experience in, specialize in or enjoy using?
I don’t have any favorites, if I understand it I like it. I am a big believer in cross training especially in a small company.
What is your favorite thing about working with small businesses and startups?
The personal side. I like helping people and in a small company you get to know each other business and personally.
What three words best describe you?
Wife, Mom, Nana – I live for my family!
Where did you grow up? How did you end up where you live now?
Born and raised in San Juan. I purchased my child hood home when I turned 50 after my parents passed away. I love my home and my neighborhood.
What do you like to do for fun outside of work?
I love taking care of my grandbabies. I also volunteer for the American Cancer Society and I do an annual event called Relay for Life. I know too many people who have been effected by cancer and I would like to see a world with no cancer.
Anything on your bucket list?
More travel, I have not traveled enough in my life time.

Always be kind. Smile you never know who needs to see it or feel it.
